Common questions

No notification arrives. Check that notifications are allowed under Settings → Notifications → TeaBuddy. The app asks for permission the first time you start a timer; if it was declined, only Settings can turn it back on.
The widget looks empty. The widget shows the first four teas in your library. If the library is empty, add a tea in the app first.
I want to change the app's language. Settings → Language. The app's language is independent of your phone's.
My teas are gone. Teas are stored on the device itself. Deleting the app deletes the library with it.

TeaBuddy collects, transmits and stores no personal data. The app has no server.

What stays on the device

The teas you add — name, type, steep time, water temperature and notes — along with your language and theme preferences, are held only in your device's own storage. This data never leaves the device. Deleting the app deletes it too.

What is not collected

No account, email address or identifier is requested
No access to location, contacts, photos or health data
No usage analytics or crash reporting
Nothing is shared with or sold to third parties

Notifications

A local notification tells you when your tea is ready. These notifications are created and scheduled on the device; none of it passes through a server.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, and so collects none from children.

TeaBuddy is a tea brewing timer for iPhone and iPad. Installing and using the app means accepting these terms.

Using the app

The app is free and meant for personal use. It may not be copied, modified, decompiled or redistributed, in whole or in part.

Timers and brewing times

The steep times and temperatures shown — both the suggested values and the ones you enter yourself — are guidance rather than instruction. When an alert arrives depends on iOS: if notifications are turned off or the system delays a timer, it may come late or not at all. The final decision about when the tea is ready is yours.

Your data

Teas and preferences are kept on your device. There is no backup service; deleting the app or losing the device means losing the library with it.

No warranty

The app is offered as it is, with no warranty of any kind. As far as the law allows, no responsibility is taken for any loss or damage arising from its use.

The app and these terms may change over time. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date above refreshed. Questions: mail@opelia.io

TeaBuddy — the app itself, its name, icon, interface design and the texts in it — belongs to Doğukan Yıldız and is protected by copyright law. None of it may be copied, distributed or used in another product without written permission.

The app contains no third-party content. The teas, brewing times and temperatures it suggests are common knowledge and belong to no one.

Sık sorulanlar

Bildirim gelmiyor. Ayarlar → Bildirimler → TeaBuddy yolundan bildirimlere izin verildiğinden emin ol. İlk zamanlayıcıyı başlattığında uygulama izin ister; reddedildiyse yalnızca Ayarlar'dan geri açılabilir.
Widget boş görünüyor. Widget kayıtlı çaylarından ilk dördünü gösterir. Kitaplığın boşsa önce uygulamadan bir çay ekle.
Uygulama dilini değiştirmek istiyorum. Ayarlar → Dil. Uygulama dili telefonun dilinden bağımsızdır.
Çaylarım kayboldu. Çaylar cihazın kendisinde saklanır. Uygulamayı sildiğinde kitaplık da silinir.

Uygulamanın kullanımı

Uygulama ücretsizdir ve kişisel kullanım içindir. Tamamı ya da bir bölümü kopyalanamaz, değiştirilemez, kaynak koda dönüştürülemez veya yeniden dağıtılamaz.

Zamanlayıcı ve demleme süreleri

Uygulamada görünen demleme süreleri ve sıcaklıklar — hem önerilen değerler hem de kendi girdiklerin — bir talimat değil, yol göstericidir. Uyarının ne zaman geleceği iOS'a bağlıdır: bildirimler kapalıysa ya da sistem zamanlayıcıyı geciktirirse uyarı geç gelebilir veya hiç gelmeyebilir. Çayın hazır olduğuna dair son karar sana aittir.

Verilerin

Çaylar ve tercihler cihazında tutulur. Yedekleme hizmeti yoktur; uygulamayı silmek ya da cihazı kaybetmek kitaplığı da götürür.

Garanti yok

Uygulama olduğu gibi sunulur, hiçbir konuda garanti verilmez. Yasanın izin verdiği ölçüde, kullanımından doğan zarar veya kayıplardan sorumluluk kabul edilmez.
